a little quiet time......

We had our first of many weekends with our precious blessing B. I spent Saturday with just my two little ones. It rained the majority of the day so my plans for some fun pics on the farm were out. Instead I found myself relaxing, leaving the never ending mess, and content just drinking in the time with her. This was a wonderful day and an important reality check for me. I was reminded how rarely we rest. It is not enough with with my family and sadly to say not near enough with my heavenly Father. It is a constant struggle to pull away from the American way and western mindset that compels us to fill our calendar with many wonderful things. But, at what expense? If we don't schedule family time, and more important quiet time, our schedule begins running us. I don't believe this is how we are to live. In Psalm 46:10a, we are told, "Be still, and know that I am God." So, again I resolve to be still....

just a little break

Still here.... Just taking a break (and breath) as school winds down and we get settled in.

I am terribly sorry if I have failed to contact anyone back. Things got a bit hectic towards the end of the move and all email contacts were lost.

special places

Thought I'd post a few last shots of the girls before we move. I know there will be many other places to catch them playing at the new house, but this clearing is special to me. Not for the land itself, but the peolpe that were on it and the memories shared. I thank the Lord for them all.

We have all been having such a ball getting to know this precious baby, and watching mom doll her up with bows and dad take them out! B is not crazy about the tutu yet, but I think that J likes it enough for the two of them. Looks like I need to get to the fabric store before she gets any ideas.....she already asked about the whereabouts of the pretty pink dress : )
